Source: American News, Aberdeen, S.迷你倉D.Sept. 06--Those interested in learning more about the Highlands Historic District in Aberdeen can participate in a walking tour Tuesday.The tour is sponsored by the Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department and begins at 6:30 p.m. The group, which is limited to 25 people, will be led by Troy McQuillen , of Aberdeen. There's no charge for the tour, which begins at the corner of 12th Avenue northeast and Main Street.According to the city of Aberdeen's website, the Highlands Historic District is one of two historic residential districts. The district encompasses 17 homes betw儲存倉en 12th Avenue and 15th Avenue. The earliest homes were built in 1907."These traditionally continue to be very popular year in and year out," Recreation Superintendent Gene Morsching said.The city typically sponsors three walking tours each year -- two in the spring and one in the fall.Because the tour group is limited to 25 people, residents who are interested in the tour should call 626-7015 to place their names on the list of participants by Monday.Copyright: ___ (c)2013 the American News (Aberdeen, S.D.)
