Steve Merchant said the department is continually receiving reports of scams ranging from people posing as representatives of credit card companies to people claiming to be a relative who has been booked into jail and needs bail money wired to them in a short window ofmini storagetime.Merchant said those usually targeted in scams are elderly, trusting people.
